Media: Painting
Inspired by Belgian painters from the early 20th century, Flemish artist Piet Pollet’s paintings are a contemporary answer to a deeply rooted tradition. Painted on small wooden panels or canvases, his portraits, in which nostalgia and humor go hand in hand, have an eerie quality about them. The faces of his archetypes serve as the ideal tool to provide interpretations and connotations under a veil of ambiguity.
