Gallery in The Upper East Side area
Established in 1981, the gallery maintains a large inventory of the work of 20th century painters and sculptors and has published many catalogues, books and brochures on their work. Exhibitions are organized throughout the year and are changed monthly. Since its inception, exhibitions of contemporary artists are alternated with historical exhibitions. In addition to contemporary art, the gallery maintains an inventory and exhibits work by impressionist and modern masters in its permanent collection.
Kouros Gallery also operates a Sculpture Center in Ridgefield, Connecticut, where the environmental work of the gallery's as well as other international sculptors is on permanent exhibit.
